Helping out at the Oxploroturiom

Our last visit to the oxford elementary , was a great experience of how American kids do their studying , not only that and how schools help their children grow up into life. The most exciting part is involving parents , and us , to help the kids which makes them more excited. And also adding learning in fun activities which help the student get deeper into the subject. like for example , Calcium. The kids did a fine job at the hospital with me and another parent. It made them experience the life of a doctor , a doctor who cures bones deseases. They took a card , and read th activity , it was some sourt of a patient that cals the doctor and ask him about somthing wrong with one of his bones in his body , and they should write the answer in a sheet that they had. I think it is and excellent way of making a child's brain get more involved in the life around him , and when he visits a doctor for something wrong with his bones , he will start talking to the doctor about calcium and name of some bones in a human body.

Our visit to the insights

The most exciting part was , the questioning and aswering part. Specailly when the teacher asked the class questions about Bahrian which the children didn't know quiet well. For example , she asked about the religion in Bahrain , one girl said " Arabic " it was a little funny for me. But also , the way the children asked the questions was very neat. In addition to that , explaining the game to them was simple , even memorizing the names in my language was a peice of cake to them. I was so impressed and amazed by the Lego Robots they were working on , and the way they program it in the computer , really made me want to buy one. The children were very nice and friendly and I really want to visit them again

Book Fairs

The book fairs in Bahrain are so similar to the one we saw in the Oxford elementary school, but on a little grown ups version. there will be books from alla over the world , many are English but there are some other languages too. The books we saw in the fair we went latley are common books we see in Bahrain , beacause many of Bahraini readers read English books more often than any other type of books. But the book fair won't only have books , it would offer a wide range of science experimant tools or invention sets. Children toys and PC games are availble too. The book fair is not only for books it beacame a tradition and an event that everyone speaks about , and schools take there student there. That is one of the reasons that when you go in the morning , you will find a hole bunch of students from diffrent schools there. I really missed the book fair back home and want to visite it again. The idea of making a book fair for children was very nice i really adore that.

Old school days are memories that are stamped permnantley in the mind , or atleast my mind. All of the days in school where fun except some subjects which had very strict teachers. But my favorite activities where the feild trips and the travelling we use to do with the school. Every year we have to go for an island wich was famus in Bahrain , it is the biggest island , and it was one of the best hits of year that all the school would be on. The other i use to like where the soccer matches we play in recess and lunch. Sometimes we even don't eat our lunch just to win the match. Not only in lunch, but sports day was more exciting for every sports , Basketball , Football , Volleyball, also Ping-Pong(table tennis). I will never forget the days that rain falls during class time. We couldn't stay in our seats, even when we where big at high school , we still want to go out and play in the rain. Many of you would find it funny , but it never rains back there so , when it rains its like heaven.
yeah, school days are fun to talk about , specailly with people from diffrent cultures.
